Acne in adolescence, effective care

acne in adolescence

Acne in adolescence is a very common skin disease. It is also called an inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous follicle. Discover the Akno Natura Regulatory Complex.

It's difficult to escape acne in adolescence since in France, 80% of 12-18 year olds suffer from acne. From puberty, acne lesions (red spots, comedones, papules, pustules, even nodules and cysts) generally appear and their presence therefore alters the quality of life.

Most of the time, the appearance of these often unsightly marks pushes many adolescents to consult a dermatologist. Acne can, however, take several forms and treatments differ depending on the type of lesion. Discover the natural acne treatment.

What is acne? Definition and symptoms

Acne is a skin illness which results in the eruption of red spots, blackheads and cysts. In 95% of people with acne, the face (sometimes concentrated around the mouth) is the area most commonly affected by acne, but it can also appear on other parts of the body such as le dos or the scalp.

This skin condition is linked to an overproduction of sebum, a lubricating substance, by the sebaceous glands. Each diagram on acne and pimplesPilosebaceous follicle consists of a hair to which a sebaceous gland is attached. This gland secretes sebum, which is normally very fluid. The sebum then flows through the pores of the skin which it covers to protect it.

When the sebaceous glands do not produce enough sebum, the skin will tend to dry out and become chapped. Conversely, in the event of overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands, the sebum becomes thick. Excess sebum obstructs the duct of the sebaceous glands, which results in a proliferation of bacteria usually present in the skin.

Propionibacterium acnes multiplies abnormally. This proliferation of bacteria is the cause of the appearance of red spots which indicate inflammation. When the blocked follicle expands too much, it causes blackheads and microcysts.

Acne in adolescence is of multifactorial origin. Acne usually develops around puberty due to a hormonal surge and mainly androgenic hormones. We talk about acne vulgaris, puberty acne or even adolescent acne. Under the effect of this surge, the sebaceous glands produce more sebum: a breeding ground for the multiplication of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria.

The different types of acne in adolescence

The condition generally begins with a retentional acne which is characterized by the production of comedones. These are blackheads and whiteheads. We are talking aboutcomedonal acne.

THEinflammatory acne results in large red and painful pimples which can give way to hollow scars. The appearance of pimples varies depending on the child's development, skin type and family history.

Some adolescents may suffer from both retentional acne and inflammatory acne. Moreover, mixed or polymorphic juvenile acne is the most common case among adolescents.

In 15 to 20% of cases, adolescent acne can take a more severe form. In some cases, acne can appear as large and numerous nodules and cysts. This type of severe acne is called acne conglobata.

Finally, thefulminant acne is a rare form of acne where the very inflammatory, ulcerated and painful lesions are associated with high fever but also with joint and muscle pain. The progression of this type of acne is slow, and the scars are generally very marked.

The best treatment for acne in adolescence and adulthood

Thanks to the 3 in 1 action (exfoliating, scrubbing and purifying) of the Regulatory Complex, the skin is rid of its imperfections, sebum production is balanced and the face is brighter.

An easy-to-use anti-pimple treatment

– First, run the loofah (plant fiber sponge provided with the treatment) under water to soften the fibers. The sponge has two sides for two types of exfoliation: a soft side for very sensitive areas (around the eyes, mouth), and a fibrous side for more extensive exfoliation.

– Then place a dab of the Complex, using the measuring spoon, on the loofah and run it under water for a second.

– Then lather by tapping first on your hand to obtain a white foam.

– Finally, apply with light massages and patting on the skin, then rinse.
This treatment is formulated without water, so the paste may be hard when opening the jar. We recommend simply adding a few drops of mineral water directly to the pot. In a few hours, the texture will be softened and more comfortable to use.

The results are visible from the first days. The skin regains its purity, imperfections and spots fade day by day and disappear on average after one month of daily treatment. Regulatory Complex Testimonials.
