It is a non-contagious disease which affects 2 to 3% of the population in France. Generally, this disease is characterized by the appearance of well-demarcated red plaques. They are located at the friction zones. The skin is covered with fragments of whitish, dry skin that slough off (scales). When these plaques are scraped or stripped, all that remains is the redness of the skin.
Psoriasis can significantly affect a person's quality of life. Dead Sea cures are an effective natural solution for fight against psoriasis and improve the patient's quality of life.
The benefits of psoriasis treatment at the Dead Sea
You are undoubtedly familiar with the Dead Sea Cures and their benefits on gout or plaque psoriasis, which until now has been mainly attributed to two factors:

In recent years, however, new theories and studies have revealed that the essential factor in the success of these cures is more particularly linked to the geographical position of the Dead Sea and its altitude, rather than to this mud.
The effectiveness of psoriasis cures from the Dead Sea
This sea is unique in the world since it is located 420m below sea level. The sun's rays strike in a very particular oblique way, which generates a phenomenon of evaporation loaded with salts, since this sea is very salty.
UVA filter
This evaporation cloud invisible to the naked eye would better filter UVA and UVB from the sun. This allows heliotherapy to be effective and much less dangerous for the skin than puvatherapy sessions or “classic” exposure to the sun. It is therefore advisable to stay there for 4 to 6 weeks on average. On the other hand, the idea of bringing back sludge to continue treatment at home would just be... not very useful.
Whatever happens, before trying to bring back mud from the Dead Sea, encouraged by good results on site, and imagining that all the same these sulfur mud help to eliminate psoriasis, be aware of what you are committing to.
Note that the benefits of Dead Sea mud on nail psoriasis are often less significant than for psoriasis localized to any other part of the body...
Dead Sea Mud
The mud of the Dead Sea is black. You should coat your body with mud, let it dry – ideally in the sun – for around twenty minutes, before rinsing. You will also think about planning a time to clean your shower... We are there, so here you are, motivated, naked in your bathroom, waiting 20 minutes. You are covered in black mud, if you move, touch anything, a towel, a sheet, a wall... you will notice that this mud stains. Treatment should be daily. Good luck to anyone who would like to try and congratulations to those who can have the patience for these 20 minutes/day, without getting agitated, on their feet, for 30 days...
Taking a cure at the Dead Sea is a natural treatment for Psoriasis, regularly recommended by naturopaths, because it offers a holistic treatment of the disease. On one side the plaques or drops of mild to moderate psoriasis are processed. On the other hand, a cure is akin to a retreat, a moment of relaxation. It's ideal for relieving stress.
Also consider other spa treatments for psoriasis. Although the results are, in our experience, less significant than the Dead Sea. The plaque remission period after a stay in Jordan or Israel is most often 6 months. Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease.
